Isabel Rubió Gavidia

Isabel has extensive experience as a General Health Psychologistin Spain. She has a Master's degree in Clinical and Health Psychology. Her great interest in Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT) has led her to attend different courses, workshops and congresses on CFT, of different levels of deepening, both in Derby (UK), as well as in Italy and Spain, since 2014. She was Dr Gilbert's assistant in a CFT Deepening Course, 2016,organized by the Spanish Association of Mindfulness and Compassion - AEMind. Likewise, Isabel continued her training in this same therapy and took a Postgraduate course in Compassion Focused Therapy,directed by the creator of this approach, Dr. Paul Gilbert, at the University of Derby, United Kingdom, 2019. She has been a member of the Compassionate Mind FoundationUK, for several years. Her passion for CFT has led her to teach CFT courses at the initial, in-depth and specific levels at the postgraduate level. She is currently leading the eight-week Compassionate Mind Training course, together with Dr Constanza Calatayud, co-led by Dr Chris Irons.

Isabel loves working with Mindfulness and Self-compassion adaptations for adults, youth and children, so she teaches different programs according to the age of the participants: she is prepared to teach the program Cognitive Mindfulness Based Therapy - MBCT (The Mindfulness Network, UK) and is qualified teacher in the Mindfulness and Self-Compassion program – MSC Center for Mindful and Self-Compassion - CMSC, San Diego University). She is also a teacher in Dot b teenagers (11-18 years old) and Paws Dot b (7-11 years old), taught in London and Leeds, organized by The Mindfulness in School Project, UK. She is co-author of the AEMind's Escuelas ConscientesProgram.

On the other hand, she leads Mindfulness and Compassion retreats in Spain and has attended other different programs related to compassion, such as Mindfulness Based Compassionate Living - MBCL (The Mindfulness Network, London) and Mindfulness Based Compassionate Balanced (Gonzalo Brito, AEMind, Valencia).

He has participated in several congresses, presenting the article “Review of the international standards of training in mindfulness: basis for initiating a national proposal” with Dr. Constanza Calatayud and Dr. Azucena García, in the First International Congress of Mindfulness, Carlos III Institute and the University of Zaragoza, 2014. She was President of AEMind (Spanish Association of Mindfulness and Compassion, 2018-2019),making different collaborations for this entity, since 2012.
