I started working at Derby University in 2015 and, over the years, have been involved in several research projects and teaching modules within the Department of Psychology and the Compassion Research and Training Centre.
I began my doctorate in 2018, pursuing my interests in compassion, leadership and narcissism. My thesis is rooted in functional evolutionary analysis that suggests that leadership evolved from dominant-subordinate relationships and that these can be distinguished along the dimensions of prosocial and antisocial leadership styles. In parallel to my PhD, I work as a Foundation Manager and Research Coordinator at the Compassionate Mind Foundation.
